We lived in Irvington on Stratford Avenue and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church on East Washington. My Dad took me out for ice cream about 1950. I remember a long counter with stools. I was 3 years old. I’m thinking this must have been Lindner’s and would love to see a picture of the inside of the place!
I grew up on 38th & mitthoffer. The minders was right next to gramboli’s. Still the best ice cream & pizza I’ve ever had in my life. They’re both long gone now.

I loved their lemon malts! I still crave them. I’ve tried to find a recipe, but haven’t been able to.
I miss their fruit punch concentrate! Always a must at Christmas parties
