Their mother, Louise Edwards, owns the business, which started with the diner originally opened as a Dog’n Suds Root Beer drive-in back in 1957, and owned and managed by father-son Herb and Tom Edwards. The deal to sell the property at 2126 S. Sherman Drive was signed Monday 1-10-2022, but Edwards would not name the buyer.

  1. It is still open in the same location with different owners and a different name.

On thursday afternoons in the warm months there is a car cruise there open to all

  2. My friends and I cruised around that part of town quite a bit. I remember the old hot rods from the 50’s and 60’s we all had back then. Loved to see and hear them cruising around the drive-ins. Sure miss all that.

  3. I sure hate to see this one go. I grew up on the East side of Indy. I never went to Edward’s much but I hate to see anything from the 50’s gone.
